A Polish security researcher & analyst with the Twitter username ‘Lasq’ revealed that the Social Media Giant, Facebook is afflicted by  Clickjacking Bug , which automatically add  spam links  on the Facebook user’s wall. The security professional discovered a technique used by miscreant & used Bug bounty program to submit the report to the company. According to the resources, the ongoing Spam Campaign on Facebook seems to have a prolonged life as Facebook has denied dismissing Clickjacking Bug because it does not alters the state of the account. Latest WhatsApp Updates In an attempt to manage the spread of fake news and rumors that are alleged to have triggered a series of horrific lynching incidents, Whatsapp recently announced some new features in the app. These include: The number of people whom you can forward a message has been limited to 20. This means that from a single account a message can be forwarded only 20 times. Post that forwarding option will be disabled for that message. In India, where people forward more videos, messages and photos as compared to other countries this restriction has been set a lower limit of  5 forwards . Data Transfer Project that will allow users to transfer data (contacts, contents, and many more) across apps (form one service to another) without needing to download it and re-upload it. The transferred data would be encrypted making it difficult for the third partied to access it without user permission. Formed in 2017, DTP is an open source data portability platform that any online service can join. The motive behind this project is to enable users to transfer data (import and export data) between online service providers anytime without ant hassle. DTP already supports a few prototypes that allow online platforms to transfer several data including photos, email, calendar, contacts and tasks. However this information cannot be shared directly online from one app to another without downloading it. Facebook fined with £500,000 over Cambridge Analytica data scandal

Facebook has been slammed with a fine of £500,000 ($664,000) in the UK for breaking Data Protection laws. The fine was imposed after UK’s data regulator performed a wide ranging investigation into the Cambridge Analytica scandal and found Facebook guilty of non – compliance of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) as: * The company failed to protect its user’s personal data. * Facebook guilty as failed to be transparent about how the personal data was being harvested by the third parties.
