Microsoft Decides to keep the Snipping tool in the Redstone 5 Update!

Microsoft Windows 10 gets new ‘insider build’ updates almost regularly which incorporate many major and minor tweaks. The Microsoft windows 10 updates are rolled out to keep the OS free from bugs and enhance the services that it provides to the users.


In a recent Windows 10 insider build 17661, Windows introduced a new screenshot capture application that supports the stylus pen. The application named Screen Sketch has the same functionalities as the snipping tool. This new application was developed from scratch and the developers plan to slowly introduce it to the users. There are some new improved features with the usual snipping experience from the snipping tool application.

The Windows 10 Insider Build 17704 displayed a message in the classic Snipping tool when it was opened for the first time after the update, which informed the users about the removal of the snipping tool application from windows in the next Windows 10 Redstone 5 Update. The notification advertised the new Screen Sketch application that had the usual features of snipping tool plus some added improvements.
