WhatsApp Hacked? Tips to prevent your Account from Getting hacked!

WhatsApp is a messaging app that is widely used by people all over the world. It is a service that allows the users to send unlimited messages without incurring charges over the Mobile service provider network. It comes with many in-built features that offer the user interactive chat interface and the ability to send photos, audio-video messages, location, contacts etc.

Every App at some point in time has some vulnerability that is used by hackers to gain access and cause harm or spy on the user. WhatsApp, although encrypted with end-to-end encryption, can still be hacked if the user is not careful when using the application.



A user should be on HIGH ALERT and follow these steps to prevent WhatsApp Hacking and keep their account secure.

1. Two-Layer Authentication should be used to verify your account upon login. Create a six-digit PIN that can be used by you upon entering your phone number. This adds another layer of security as it discourages others from using your mobile number from a different device.

2. If you are a user who frequently uses Web.WhatsApp, then don’t forget to logout properly. It should be noted that access to your phone can allow a hacker to remotely login on Web.WhatsApp. They can stay online on that PC and monitor your messages and conversations.
